About Jamar

Do you ever wonder why learning music feels so difficult? Having spent 12 years playing bluegrass and old-time festivals, I rely on my self-taught roots to make sense of the instrument. I focus on intonation, vibrato, and bowing technique, whether we are tackling grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity. Seeing students master tuning by ear, sight reading, left hand agility, or basic posture and hold is what I enjoy most.

About the lesson

You deserve feedback that hits the mark immediately. I keep things moving through consistent ear training and music theory.

I work with people who need structure or just space to try. You get 10.0 out of 10.0 effort from me during every minute.

I adjust the pace based on your progress. It is refreshing to keep the music feeling alive. We avoid isolation to ensure every note has context. Playing should be fun.
