About Tess
Hello! My name is Tess. I am 26, currently studying full-time for my Masters. Before I moved to Canberra in February, I lived in Melbourne and worked as an ESL teacher. I have taught ESL on and off since I was 21! It brings me a lot of joy to see my students grow and gain confidence using English. I have taught adults from across the globe, from Japan to Peru to Switzerland. I am highly professional, punctual, and patient.

I love getting to know each student and helping them with any area of English. I have a particular passion for grammar and vocabulary, but I also love to chat or help with reading and writing. I am very patient, and prefer to work with each student to create a learning style that suits them.
Each lesson typically runs for one or two hours, depending on what each student needs.
I am a qualified CELTA teacher (since 2017) and taught ESL for three years to adults. I love teaching adults of any English level (elementary to advanced).
