About Stephanie
Hello, thanks for having a look at my teaching profile online.
I have over a decade of experience teaching piano, singing, and music online and face to face. I love my job! I'm completely committed to developing the whole musician and not just the instrumentalist, which enables greater enjoyment and attainment. I like using tried and tested classical techniques, but I'm constantly keeping on top of my own CPD so a lot of contemporary pedagogy is also employed.
I believe composition, improvisation and musicianship are just as important as being able to read the notes on the stave. In fact, being well developed in all areas are what will allow you to flourish in exams if that's your goal.
For singing, I like to focus on good posture and great communication, alongside diction, articulation and breath control.
I have run my own teaching business full time for the last decade, and it's an absolute pleasure to begin a new educational adventure with a student.
