About Madame Amal
I started teaching French since I was in University. I taught French for a year after Graduation at the Lycée in Egypt, my country of birth. Since my arrival to Canada as a landed immigrant, I have been teaching at the Giles School for over 28 years.
I am passionate about teaching as you can tell, I believe that each student is gifted in their own way. My role is to expose them to the love of learning, polish their abilities, enrich their skills and guide them to success.

I do not have a fixed set of lessons for all.
Usually I offer a free 45 minutes assessment session to evaluate the needs of my students and meet with the parents to find out how to assist the student to perform at their best at school. Next I will put a plan with a reasonable end goal.
I do not hesitate to honestly share my observation with the parents if I see that the student need more professional help if the question is related to psycho education assessment and may refer them to a specialist upon their request.
I use many platforms to deliver the lessons, to make it interactive. The student will participate actively during the session.
45 minutes (Grades 1&2)
1 hour (Grades 2&3)
1 hour 30 minutes (Grade 4+)
*length of sessions vary depending on the student’s needs 10 minutes break is given when the session goes beyond 1hour.
