About Marc
I've been a tutor and translator for almost 17 years, now. I write poetry and paint in my spare time. I graduated from Concordia University (Montreal) in 2002 with a Specialization in English Literature. In 2004 I acquired both a permit, and international license to teach ESL (Global Tesol) around the world. My academic focus stemmed from a need to become a writer, or novelist. Shortly following my training, I set about doing translation work for small businesses and individuals who are mostly in the Arts field.

My techniques and teaching methods are simple and clear. They aim to help and improve the student's present set of skills and expression in both spoken, and/or written English. You must provide me with your needs and expectations, or goals for learning. Then, we will go about planning a schedule, level, and pace for learning that will be acceptable to you.
My teaching strategies vary and are tailored to the specific needs of the student. They can vary and range from the strictly conversational style with consultations to a more rigid, and formal structure following an outline we will discuss in order to better attain our academic goals.
I'm very easy to reach and communicate with as I am close to downtown Montreal (Cotes-des-Neiges). I am willing to travel around the center of the Island of Montreal for classes. We can work via different platforms, or in person. We can also meet at a café, or other public place that will be conducive to communicating easily and effectively.
I am friendly and easy to talk to, and am well read. If improving your overall English is your hope then you've come to the right place.
