About Cara
I'm Cara! I'm a native English and Afrikaans speaker from South Africa. I started casually tutoring when i was 17, and started taking it more seriously when I finished school. I plan my lessons in advance but still leave a little bit of time for discussion and some fun. I recently completed my TEFL course and I'm ready to embark on this learning journey with you!

My lessons include fun and interactive activities aimed at engaging my students and making my lessons relevant and relatable. I like to incorporate music, videos, podcasts, and real-life materials to help them grasp the topic. My lessons will always start with a discussion time where we will approach the topic by thinking and giving personal ideas/opinions first. My lessons end with a consolidation period to ensure everyone understands what has been taught. Throughout my time, we will learn through exercises and laughter. My lessons are aimed at 9 - 16 year olds and I adjust the content according to their personal needs and abilities.
