• Audiolingual Methodology - Also called oral audio, this method arose from the American need for communication during the period of World War II. Brought to the classroom, this methodology focuses on listening and speaking, that is, listening and speaking and only later on reading and writing. I believe that language is a habit acquired through speech, in a mechanical process of stimulation and response, where the right answers are reinforced and the wrong answers simply ignored. The rules here give way to the right examples and models that should be followed. Language acquisition through repetition and memorization. That is, the structures (models) presented are repeated orally in order to be fully memorized.
