About Maddison
I am a writer who is a soon to be graduate from the University of Ottawa with a double minor in Criminology and Psychology. My business is set to take off in February 2020, involving journalism and a focus on the community's social stability and mental health. I've always loved working with kids and students and have been working with them for over eight years. I'd love to be of help to any of you struggling with language, reading and writing.

I believe that teaching methods should be catered to individual needs, however I am a huge fan of hands on and interactive work. A typical hour of class or tutoring with me looks as follows:

Clarification on any obstacles from the previous lesson that need attention
Introducing the new lesson and how it correlates to the latter
Providing a verbal and visual example using theory, metaphors, hyperbole, juxtaposition, to give a dynamic overview
Asking what the individual's needs are to more clearly understand the lesson
Catering a hands on activity on the spot to walk through the lesson
