I worked with Graeme as a peer from 2008 - 2018 and then as his manager until I retired in August 2022.

He has extensive experience in working within the English management team: delivery of Adult National Curriculum, management of Functional Skills courses (including covering classes for absent staff), GCSE teaching since 2009 (including administration of initial assessment which he marked and then gave fed back to potential learners, and delivery of a pre-GCSE 6-week 'taster' course for learners who were unsure as to whether they were ready for the full course). He has conscientiously attended all trainings and updates through turbulent changes to qualifications and additional needs processes. He managed staff and learners through the pandemic, ensuring support was delivered and qualifications achieved.

As Graeme's line manager, it was a privilege to observe his teaching. He engaged learners with creative sessions and gave focussed, structured feedback towards progression.
