About Heather

Hi! My name is Heather! Ever since I spent time teaching children in Taiwan, I have formed a passion for teaching children. I said to my boss when I left: if I just had a rocket ship to spend my days here and my nights back home, I would do it! Online teaching makes that possible. Apart from teaching, I enjoy blogging and reading. I also have an eight-year-old boy who keeps me busy and who has a lot of toys which come in useful in the classroom. I have a degree in English and Psychology, an Honours in Psychology, and a diploma in Early Childhood Education (Montessori). I also have a TEFL certificate. I have over ten years of teaching experience with a wide range of age groups, with everybody from toddlers to pre-schoolers to primary school children. I’ve also taught overseas in Taiwan and enjoyed being a camp counselor in America. So I have taught a wide variety of age groups and nationalities.

About the lesson

I like to make learning English as concrete as possible with lots of gestures, props, toys, and pictures. I will work with you to make it a personalized experience so that we meet your goals to learn English. Hope to see you soon, in the classroom!

Perfect! Heather es una profesora estupenda. Cariñosa, receptiva y orientada a sus alumnos, hace la clase muy amena y siempre está dispuesta a introducir elementos novedosos y actividades que contribuyan a mejorar el proceso de aprendizaje. Además, su retroalimentación después de la clase ayuda a reforzar los contenidos aprendidos y su dedicación y facilidad de contacto hace que la comunicación resulte muy fluida.
La recomiendo como profesora.

Heather is a fantastic teacher. Affectionate, receptive and oriented towards her students, she makes the class very enjoyable and is always willing to introduce new elements and activities that contribute to improving the learning process. In addition, their feedback after class helps reinforce the content learned and their dedication and ease of contact make communication very fluid. I recommend her as a teacher.
