My lessons tend to go for at least 2 hours. I teach on a need to know basis and focus on maximising marks for upcoming assessments that the student may have. Once I am confident that a student will be able to do well on an exam, I advance them to some additional challenges to obtain those crucial last few marks.
These lessons are for any year 7-12 student who is struggling to understand content for maths, and needs help getting into a flow state where they can learn 1) how to study for maths 2) exam preparation skills that will help with all other subjects.
Typical lesson is structured as follows:
30mins - homework help/consolidation
30mins - theory / new content
45mins - practise questions
15mins - review
