About Charitra

About the lesson

As a tutor specializing in Math, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Geometry for middle and high school students, I use a structured and engaging approach to simplify complex concepts. My background as a Computer Science Engineer allows me to incorporate logical problem-solving and real-world applications into my lessons, making math more intuitive and practical.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
Conceptual Clarity First: I break down topics into simple, digestible parts and use visual aids like graphs, diagrams, and real-world examples.
Step-by-Step Problem Solving: I guide students through problems systematically, teaching them to identify patterns and apply the right methods.
Active Learning: Encouraging students to think critically through interactive discussions, problem-solving exercises, and hands-on activities.
Technology Integration: Using online tools, graphing calculators, and coding examples (where relevant) to show the practical applications of math.
Personalized Learning: I adapt my teaching pace based on the student’s level, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring they fully grasp each topic.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-up (5-10 mins): Quick recap of the previous lesson or a brain teaser to stimulate problem-solving.
Concept Explanation (15-20 mins): Step-by-step breakdown of the topic using real-life examples and visual aids.
Guided Practice (20-30 mins): Solving problems together, gradually increasing difficulty.
Independent Practice (15-20 mins): Assigning problems for students to attempt on their own while providing hints if needed.
Q&A & Wrap-up (10 mins): Reviewing key takeaways and addressing doubts to reinforce learning.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
Tech-Driven Approach: My computer science background helps me bring a logical, analytical approach to math, linking it with programming and real-world applications.
Problem-Solving Mindset: I teach students not just formulas but how to think mathematically and approach problems with confidence.
Patient & Adaptive: I adjust my teaching style based on each student’s pace and learning preferences.

Who the Lessons Are For:
Middle & High School Students (Grades 6-12)
Students Interested in the Intersection of Math & Computer Science

I aim to make math engaging, intuitive, and confidence-boosting, helping students not just pass exams but truly understand and appreciate the subject.
