About Vanessa
I am an empathetic coach, leader, and thought partner and firmly believe that everyone has the potential to unlock greatness with the right coach by their side. Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences from The University of Hong Kong where I majored in Psychology with emphasis in Business Marketing and Human Resources Management. This has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour and corporate dynamics, which has since been leveraged in professional roles. Professionally, I have held several key global corporate leadership positions at adidas and Burberry across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Switzerland and London. My expertise involves developing and implementing strategic business plans, high impact global operations and ESG initiatives, partnering with senior executives to drive value creation across the organisation and cultivating a high performance work culture. Throughout my career, I have undergone and shaped transitional change - often with high adversity. For e.g. changing roles every 2 years, redundancies, relocations, navigating ambiguity, changes of leadership, promotions and career shifts. While these all provided new opportunities for growth, these experiences all came with its challenges, and at times tested my self-belief and capability. I owe a lot of my success to great coaches who believed in my potential and believe my academic and professional experience can make a big impact to others. Fast forward to now. My passion for coaching people through adversity has led me to pursue two coaching diplomas to deepen my skills in (1) Personal Performance Coaching and (2) Corporate Executive Coaching. In comes MINDFLOSS, where I aim to help clients see their world through a different lens, develop a growth mindset and navigate through challenges through goal-based work. The goal is to leave every session with your mind flossed, creating more clarity and empowering you to tackle life or work challenges positively. A typical length of a session is 60 minutes using the GROW model to help you unpack the reality of your goal, develop options and a way forward congruent to your values.
