Methodology

Emotional Health education is a course based on the accurate insight on emotion, sense of self and life.

When emotional invalidation takes place, the person perceives their feeling to be inherently invalid, shameful and bothersome, which creates an erroneous fundamental belief that feelings are naturally wrong, and all these aforementioned qualities.

Also, in the event of revelation of feeling and it's invalidation, the person also reveals their authentic self. However, when their feeling get dismissed or rejected, their authentic self is rejected and dismissed too. This is because when they revealed their authentic feeling, they also revealed their authentic self alongside.

All these happen during the early developmental years of a child.

Feelings exist to point to needs. It tells one that there's an existing unsolved problem lingering. But once that feeling is highlighting the need and the parent or caregiver in ignorance dismisses, ignores or rejects the child's feelings, the child learns that their feelings are inherently worthless and shameful. Therefore, he or she learns to hide them to avoid the pain that its revelation brings.

This process described above is called emotional education; which is emotional abuse; and in turn, child abuse.

This child goes into adulthood hating their own feeling and all feelings. Their erroneous perception of their feelings and self, teaches them that this is what their feelings and themselves naturally represent. Because if it were not so, their parents would not have treated them so.

These person perpetually learns to hoard their own feelings and themselves.

They fear above all things, revealing their authentic feeling and authentic self.

They invent another self as a substitute for their real self. This invented self is subject to change at any point, depending on how positive other people respond to it.

A person with this erroneous perception about himself or herself and life in general, often misconstrue other people's behavior as an attack against themselves, because of what they really are(inherently worthless).

They rely on external factors to develop a sense of self. However, no external factor-money, fame, attention- can fill the hollow that this emotional disorder has created.

I instruct using a straight-to-the-point, accurate insight on how the erroneous education got there(for the adults).

For the children, o work with them in conjunction with their parents.

I let my students understand how the distorted core belief is tied into every aspect of themselves and their lives.

At this point they get to understand the destructive power of this erroneous education and reject it.

Once they have been able to reject it, they replace it with the accurate insight they now have.

It takes a while for the accurate insight to take its root using consistency.

Remember, the erroneous education did not get there overnight, it got their through consistent reinforcement- consistent rejection and dismissal for the child to adopt it as true.

Children do not come into the world with a pre-installed understanding of how the world works.
