About Sharon

I am an experienced educator with over 20 years in education, having worked across a wide range of schools and settings. I have held senior leadership roles as an Assistant Head Teacher, worked as an examiner, and successfully owned and run a tuition centre, giving me a deep understanding of how students achieve success both inside and outside the classroom. I am also a parent of two boys, both of whom successfully passed the 11+ and gained entry into private schools, giving me both personal and professional insight into the selective school journey. Following the 11+ journey, I made the decision to step away from full-time teaching to set up my own tuition centre and to work with schools on a consultancy basis, supporting teaching and learning, assessment, and curriculum improvement. This allows me to focus on delivering highly targeted, high-impact support to students. I specialise in GCSE Business Studies and Computer Science, and A-Level Business and Computer Science. I have a 90% 11+ pass rate, and my GCSE and A-Level students typically make at least two levels of progress, reflecting my structured, exam-focused approach.

About the lesson

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, beginning with a clear assessment of current ability, followed by a personalised plan that targets gaps quickly and effectively. I specialise in: 11+ preparation for GL, CEM and Independent School entrance exams GCSE Business Studies GCSE Computer Science A-Level Business A-Level Computer Science.

My approach places strong emphasis on: Exam technique and understanding exactly how marks are awarded Applying knowledge effectively to exam-style questions Developing clarity, structure, and confidence under timed conditions Lessons are available online or face-to-face and are structured, engaging, and highly effective. I use real exam questions, targeted practice, and clear explanations so students understand not just the content, but how to secure top marks.

Parents receive clear insight into progress, and students leave lessons confident, motivated, and equipped to succeed.
