About Somi
I have always believed that music brings people together, and I am proud to have spent 9 years sharing that experience as a flute tutor. I teach school and college students in a positive environment where learning feels enjoyable and motivating.
My lessons include breathing techniques, posture, finger placement, scales, rhythm, articulation, tone quality, and expressive performance. I encourage students to stay curious, practice regularly, and celebrate every success.
Watching students become skilled musicians has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching career. Besides flute, I teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm exercises, music appreciation, and performance preparation.
My aim is to help students build confidence while developing a lifelong love for music.

Learning the flute is a journey that develops discipline, patience, and creativity. My teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students enjoy every lesson while improving steadily.
Students begin with breathing techniques, posture correction, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and tone production. As they progress, they work on scales, articulation, ornamentation, musical interpretation, improvisation, dynamics, and performance confidence.
I motivate students by recognizing every improvement and helping them set practical goals. Communication is clear and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions. Integrity guides my teaching with honesty, fairness, and respect.
Creative activities include movie songs, classical music, rhythm exercises, duet practice, ear training, listening activities, and simple composition projects. Along with flute, I teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and performance coaching.
