About Katelyn
I have been an elementary teacher for 6 years. I have a masters in special education, childhood education as well as Literation K-12. I have had the experience of working with students that range from elementary through middle school and am well versed in what the standards are in the high grades that elementary students will be gradually getting closer to. I have also had experience with remote learning and am knowledgeable about different platforms that can be used to support education.

Depending on your focus, we were start each lesson with a warm up and a mini lesson of the lessons standard or goal. For example, math would begin with a number talk and using mental strategies to build your number sense and become comfortable with numbers. I use a variety of different strategies and platforms to engage my students to develop their skills. Using interactive slides, videos, collaborative slides and discussion, students would gain the tools to add to their toolbox to leave the summer feeling successful, and ready to take on their next grade.
