About Matthew
I am an Electronic and Computer Engineering Undergraduate that has just finished my first year. I have a passion for problem-solving which drew me to study Engineering at University and was why I excelled at and enjoyed maths, applied maths, physics and chemistry so much during my Leaving Certificate.
I achieved 578 points in my Leaving Cert which included a H1 in physics and applied maths along with 98.4% in Higher Level Leaving Cert Maths.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping others reach their potential in all walks of life but especially in the maths-based school subjects that I enjoyed so much.
I have a wealth of experience in coaching in both sporting and non-sporting environments which has developed the skills that are essential for teaching and explaining topics to students.

I believe that exam questions are the key to successful exam results but, more importantly, fully understanding the topic. Exam questions should form the basis of grinds and individual study and be used to identify and improve weaker topics within a subject.
As a grinds teacher, I would deliver at least one 1 hour grind per week (with the possibility of more) and then assign exam and textbook questions for the student to complete between grinds. The practice in between grinds will allow the student to fully grasp the new topic and prepare any specific problems or topics that they would like me to help with further.
