About Hekmat
My name is Hekmat I’m from Egypt and I live in Canada since five years ago with my family which is my husband and my son. I used to be Arabic teacher for non native speakers online and in person. The most thing I love about my job is meeting a lot of people from different countries and nationalities with different cultures which is so interesting to know about this and get a new knowledge about them.

I have been teaching Arabic online and in classroom setting since 2015 in a Cairo-based reputable language school before recently moving to Canada. I have taught students of different backgrounds and nationalities.
I follow the communicative approach, and I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA/Fusha) and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic for all levels (Complete beginner - Advanced).
I enjoy teaching and I work with my students on improving all language skills. I carefully customize classes to meet their interests and learning needs. I usually start classes with an assessment test to determine the student's level, and follow it with a discussion on the student's objectives of learning Arabic. I use different resources (Books, video, articles, PPT material), and I guarantee you fun yet useful and interactive lessons.
