About Emily

I am a first class Cambridge graduate, with a 120 hour TEFL certification, and three years of online tutoring experience. I'm creative and can tailor my lessons to fit individual needs, as well as keep them engaging and fun. I can help with any level of English, but specialise in one on one tuition for academic work. I also offer proofreading, interview help, and help with business English - as well as laid back conversation practice! I have just finished my work for the British Council on a year long contract, teaching English as a foreign language to students aged 14-18 in groups of 9-12. I love literature and following current events (I study Philosophy and Public Policy at LSE at masters level), as well as philosophy, and love incorporating student's interests into our lessons together.

I have a Masters from LSE and a first-class degree from the University of Cambridge, and am dedicated to providing top-notch tutoring services. Flexibility is at the core of my approach, tailoring each session to suit individual needs. Through comprehensive needs assessments, I ensure that every student receives a personalised learning plan that maximises their potential. Creativity is key to engaging lessons, and I take pride in developing unique resources that captivate and inspire, using my extensive experience tutoring online.
