About Ilan
Hello, I'm Ilan. I graduated from the University of Bristol where I studied Economics and I'm now studying for an MSc in Finance at Bayes Business School in London.
I have experience tutoring students in aptitude tests and core subjects up to GCSE level. I know these tests can feel stressful, so I focus on building confidence alongside technique: understanding why an answer is right, spotting common traps, and practising under timed conditions so nothing on the day feels unfamiliar.
My own studies have given me a strong grounding in maths, economics and problem solving, and I am used to explaining complex ideas clearly and patiently. I also speak fluent Russian and English.
I am reliable, well prepared for every lesson, and committed to helping each student reach their goals. I look forward to working with you.

Lesson Structure:
- Weekly 1 hour sessions (can be adjusted if needed).
- Sessions tailored to individual student needs with a focus on understanding the underlying material for 30-45 minutes and then applying the learning to relevant exam questions for the rest of the session.
- My approach can be adjusted depending on the topic, upcoming exams, availability and knowledge gaps identified by teachers, parents or the student themselves. The topic for the session will be communicated by the parent/student to me at least 6 hours before the session to allow me time to prepare relevant material.
- I also have experience in tutoring for aptitude tests such as: ISEB Common Pre-Test, CAT4, UKiset, Bebras.
- The lessons will be for GCSE-level or below.
