About Michael

I'm an experienced and approachable tutor with a background in education, programme delivery, and youth development. I bring over four years of experience working with young people in both one-to-one and group settings. I hold a Master’s degree in Local Economic Development from LSE and a Bachelor's in Human and Economic Geography. About the lesson

I take a student-led, confidence-building approach to tutoring. My goal is to not only help students understand the subject matter but to equip them with the skills and mindset to learn independently. I aim to make lessons interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths, challenges, and preferred learning methods. Lessons typically combine: Explaining core concepts in a clear, structured way Guided practice with feedback, encouraging students to talk through their thinking Targeted revision techniques, such as active recall, spaced repetition, and past paper analysis Confidence coaching, especially for students who struggle with motivation or anxiety around schoolwork I hold a Master’s Degree in Economics and Geography and have over 4 years of experience working with students at GCSE and A-Level, both one-to-one and in group settings.
