About Salinda
I'm an animal-loving, single momma of three wonderful neurodiveregent kids. I have taught 9 years at a parent-run private school. I have taught math, language, science, and history to preschool through 7th graders. I am a prospective grad student for Speech-Language Pathology. I have experience working with individuals with ADHD and Dyslexia. I am patient, and easy-going. I strive for each student to find confidence in their unique path.

Lessons are based on the set curriculum of the Barton Reading and Spelling system. I prefer the student to be comfortable with the material before moving forward. Each student's progress is tracked. Every lesson we'll start with a review and then continue with the curriculum. Depending on the child's age, we'll also engage in suggested games at the end of the session.
This material is for those diagnosed with dyslexia, who are usually around third grade but can be taught to younger or older students.
Barton has 10 levels, I only have experience and access to the first four levels.
The material is a scientifically based curriculum influenced by Orton-Gilllingham.
