About Catherine
I am a Duke undergraduate student studying biology. While my major is STEM, I have a deep passion for writing. Over the past six years, I have written drafts of five novels and am in the process of editing one. I have experience helping peers with both creative writing and essay writing, specifically essays for colleges, scholarships, and other applications.

When it comes to writing, I like to help students to find their own voice. Telling students what I think should be done with their writing would be turning it into my voice, and that is not the sort of authenticity that is necessary for application essays. I can make suggestions, help with grammar, but with regard to composition, I believe in serving as a guide to helping students to find and develop their unique voice to create works that are truly their own.
