About Alex
I'm a passionate drummer who has been playing for over 12 years. I just graduated from BIMM Institute London, a prestigious music college in London, achieving a first class honours. Having gigged extensively with bands and artists around London, I have knowledge of a huge range of styles including jazz, rock, pop and RnB. The main project I currently play in is the Indie band Five Lines, who have just released a debut single.

I design my lessons to be adaptable and suitable for any age, or level of player, and tailor what the student wants to learn alongside the key fundamentals. I have taught private lessons to different ages and abilities for 5 years, and this summer taught drums at a summer camp in the US for three months. This experience enables me to quickly adapt a lesson if I feel the student could benefit from a different approach, or if the lesson is moving too quickly/slowly. My overall approach to teaching is that it should be fun and engaging, making the student want to go away and enjoy practice . If a student is having fun, then they will learn a huge amount more!
