I am a double first class graduate of English from the University of Cambridge, and I have a distinction in a masters degree, also from Cambridge.
I'm starting a PhD in English at University College London in the autumn, having taken several years away from academia working in policy and campaigns.

I'm an experienced tutor of English for students from GCSE to undergraduate level. I also offering university admissions tutoring, including helping you to refine your personal statement, mock interviews, and Oxbridge preparation.
I tailor my lessons to your interests and focus lessons on where you need an extra boost. I'm here to help you unlock and grow a love of literature and get the support you need for your next steps. We'll spend time talking about techniques and texts, working to refine your essays, and learning ways into literature that work for you. We'll fit lesson timings and length around what works for you.
For university admissions, we'll spend time refining your personal statement, developing your reading, and putting together the materials you need for an excellent application. If you're applying to Oxford or Cambridge, we'll undertake mock interviews, practice entrance exam questions, and develop techniques and reading for those all-important interviews.
I've got more than five years of experience as a tutor and have helped students to places at top universities and through important exams.
