About Carlo

I’m an Architect, graduated from the AA School of Architecture in London.

I have owned and operated for many years a Printing Hub on the 3D Hubs website, where I was using my 3D printer to help others realise their projects and prototypes by turning their digital models into 3D printed objects.

I also worked for several years at the AA Digital Prototyping Lab, where I was in charge of the lab's hardware and software technologies such as 3D printers, CNC, and laser cutters, as well as assisting other students.

About the lesson

We will go through all the different steps for turning a digital 3D model into a concrete printed object. I will teach you the basics of how to make sure the model is printed correctly, fix small imperfections which might affect the printing process.

Using software such as Rhino 3D and SketchUp, I will introduce you, one-to-one, to the wonderful world of 3D printing, the different types of printing and the diverse software options one can choose from in order to realise its projects.

Rebecca is a great student and 3D printing enthusiast. We worked on getting her printer calibrated for mass printing and we also discussed of some possible future improvements and fine tuning. Was very happy to help her out
