About Amar-Watan

I have a passion for teaching as I enjoy both maths and Design and tech very much. I enjoy sports such as badminton, karate, swimming, going to the gym, running and pretty much any other sport you can think of. I have had previous students go up two grades after only a few sessions on a topic compared to their test result before me teaching them. I will do my best to make sure that you are getting what you need and I plan all my lessons beforehand making my own power points tailoring them to the student at hand. You would love me as a tutor :)

About the lesson

I am a student at Loughborough University studying Design. I enjoy sports such as badminton, karate, swimming and running and also enjoy going to the gym regularly. I have always enjoyed assisting peers, younger students and generally anyone in learning as I love helping others. I also strongly believe that teaching others helps improve my understanding of not just the subject but myself. I enjoy my chosen field of design as I am a creative problem solver. I do have out-of-the-box ideas and methods of teaching sometimes but would only use these if I feel as though they are the best way to ensure a student's understanding is developed. Finally, I believe that as I design things based on people's requirements, I have developed a good sense of understanding people, their needs and what can help them. In this case that would be recognising areas of weakness in the student's education, encouraging focus on these topics and engagement, furthermore leading to their development in the subject.

He ensures you feel comfortable and puts himself on the same level - more like a friend than a tutor however he makes me get the work done. He is an amazing tutor, bumped my grade up and my teachers were so shocked, was funny to see the look on my maths teachers face as she hates me and I got 80% for the first time in my life. He really puts time into prepping the lessons too and making them just for me and how I learn.
