About Elisa
I’m a senior UX/CX researcher and designer with over 15 years’ experience helping global brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Vodafone and DMGT build better products, services and customer experiences. I’ve led research, design and information architecture across e‑commerce, media, telecoms and learning products, working closely with product, engineering and C‑suite stakeholders to turn complex problems into clear, human‑centred solutions.
Throughout my career I’ve built and mentored high‑performing teams, coached designers and researchers at different levels, and supported many people through career changes into UX, research and product roles. Teaching is a natural extension of my day‑to‑day work: I love breaking down complex topics into simple, practical steps and helping people see their own progress and strengths.
I want to teach because I believe that good UX, accessible design and thoughtful research have a direct impact on people’s lives, and more professionals deserve access to clear, honest, real‑world guidance rather than just theory. My approach is structured but friendly, with kind, direct feedback and a strong focus on your goals, whether that’s landing your first role, growing in a current position, or strengthening a portfolio or case study.
If you’re an ambitious professional or career changer who is ready to do the work, reflect, and apply what you learn, I’d be happy to support you with focused, practical lessons tailored to your background and learning style.

I teach by blending real-world practice, structured frameworks, and very honest feedback so you can apply UX/CX, research, IA, accessibility and product strategy confidently in your own context.
Techniques and methodology
I use a project-based approach: we work on your real portfolio pieces, current role challenges, or a realistic brief (e‑comm, SaaS, CX, service, or learning product) so every session produces something tangible (plans, artefacts, improved case studies).
Sessions mix short theory “bursts” with hands‑on exercises: e.g. critiquing flows, mapping journeys, writing research plans, structuring IA, reviewing accessibility, and connecting UX decisions to product and business outcomes.
I prioritise active learning: asking you to think aloud, justify decisions, and reflect, using critiques and case studies so you internalise principles rather than memorise rules.
We co‑create a personalised learning path based on your goals (career change, senior progression, or specialising in research/IA/accessibility) and adjust difficulty as you progress.
Example: a session on information architecture might include a quick heuristic overview, a card‑sorting or tree‑testing exercise, and then critiquing a sitemap or navigation from your portfolio.
Typical length of a lesson
Standard session: 60 minutes - ideal for focused topics (e.g. usability testing plan, UX case study review, portfolio feedback, interview preparation).
Deep‑dive or mentoring blocks: 90 minutes - best for complex flows, full case-study critiques, journey/service mapping, or end‑to‑end research and strategy.
We can meet weekly or bi‑weekly; for intensive interview or portfolio prep, I often suggest a short series (for example 3‑5 sessions) with clear goals for each step.
