About Fatima

Hello I am Fatima

I have previously achieved A* in GCSE Sciences and Maths, as well as A* A-levels in Chemistry and Biology, and A in Maths.

Currently I a 5th year dental student at Queen Mary university in London. I have previous experience tutoring a range of different students with various learning needs at Explore Learning as well as Kumon.

I am friendly, motivated and here to help you to achieve your goals for your future exams!

I can tutor:

GCSE Maths and Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography
KS3 Maths and Sciences, Geography
11 Plus - maths and science

I can also help in dentistry applications, proof-reading and giving advice for dental/medical personal statements, as well as providing mock interviews.

In our first session together I will start off by gaining an understanding of your baseline knowledge of the subject, as well as what your academic goals, strengths and weaknesses are. We will also discuss what your learning style is and I will be adapting my teaching to this.

Based on my personal experience of studying for exams, which lead me to achieve A*/A grades, the key is for you to have a complete and thorough understanding of the subject content, then practicing applying this in past exam questions. I will also be looking at examiners reports of previous past papers to assess where students commonly lose marks, and ensuring that you have the knowledge and skill to pick up on those marks.

I am well familiar with the pressure of revising for exams, and I understand that everyone has different learning methods and will aim to tailor our sessions to your specific way of learning.
