About Ella

I have spent over six years helping students find joy and healing through a deeply personalized connection with the violin. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance, but my actual teaching style goes far beyond just perfect classical technique. For example, I recently worked with a singer who wanted to learn the violin but kept playing their high notes slightly flat. We set up a low drone sound on their phone and practiced sliding up to the correct pitch until their ears recognized the sweet spot.
