About Tess
I’m a Mathematics tutor with more than 2 years of experience guiding university students through the challenges of calculus. With a BSc in Mathematical Sciences, I focus on turning complicated ideas into clear and intuitive lessons. Many students struggle with calculus because it feels abstract. My approach changes that.
I break down derivatives, integrals, and differential equations into manageable steps. Each concept is connected to real-world applications, from engineering systems to physical motion and optimization problems. This makes the mathematics feel alive and practical.
In my sessions, students engage with interactive simulations and collaborative problem solving. These tools make learning dynamic and memorable. I’ve worked with STEM majors and future engineers from across the globe.

My teaching methodology is built on patience, encouragement, and curiosity. Mathematics becomes easier when students feel supported and relaxed. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit their needs.
In addition to core math topics, I introduce logic puzzles, recreational mathematics, and simple strategy ideas inspired by game theory. These areas show students that math is creative and fun.
Lessons often include small challenges and puzzles that spark curiosity. Students learn to think step by step and discover solutions on their own.
I also connect math concepts to everyday situations. Planning, decision making, and recognizing patterns all involve mathematical thinking.
