About David Rhys
With over two decades of professional stage experience, David’s career includes award-winning performances, a wide range of roles in UK theatre, guest appearances as a singer aboard luxury cruise liners, backing vocals for high-profile artists and multiple original music recordings in collaboration with established songwriters.
As a vocal coach, David has taught across Europe and within mainstream education in the UK. He is the founder and owner of Fame Factory Theatre School, which has been awarded Theatre School of the Year on two separate occasions. Now in its sixteenth year, the school continues to nurture and develop young performers who progress to leading drama institutions, with many going on to successful careers in musical theatre.
David has completed Estill Voice Training Levels 1 & 2 and continues to develop his practice towards EFP Certification.

Whether refining vocal technique, addressing strain in the upper register, or simply looking to become a better singer, David supports singers in developing the skills and knowledge required to progress with confidence and efficiency. His approach focuses on helping singers achieve a voice that not only sounds better, but also feels healthier and more sustainable.
Every singer is unique, with individual aspirations and motivations, and for this reason all lessons are fully bespoke—carefully tailored to the specific needs of the singer and their voice. Each student’s goals are treated with the utmost importance.
Drawing on his own background as a professional singer, David understands the technical and psychological challenges singers often encounter. These experiences can leave performers feeling vulnerable, and he is committed to providing a supportive, informed, and constructive learning environment.
** FREE LESSON - This lesson is via video call and is treated as a consultation, a chance for us to ask questions about previous experiences, pedagogy and what the singer would like to gain from lessons. From this initial conversation, a structured and personalised plan is developed ready for our first 'proper' lesson.
