- What kind of experience do you have?
I am an actively working musician who plays a wide variety of genres. I have been teaching music for 10+ years and have placed a lot of students through their ABRSM exams. I have accompanied students of other instruments in their exams. I have accompanied the Surrey based Elmbridge choir. I have played piano aboard the P&O cruise ship Aurora.I have played a 3 month residency in The Maldives.

I am an actively performing musician with over 30+ years of experience so far! I have been teaching piano and music theory for 9+ years.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical piano, jazz piano and music theory. I take on absolute beginners or people who are more advanced who have had lessons with other music teachers. I am also available as an accompanist for other instrumentalists taking their music exams.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Trinity College of Music ACTL Advanced Jazz Performance Diploma
I have Grade 8 distinction classical piano and theory.
I have A-Level Music
I am an actively performing musician who play gigs at many events.
- How much do you charge?
£35 per hour for regular lessons
£25 per 40m for regular lessons
- Where do you teach?
I travel out to the student and teach them in their home which saves them time and effort.
My home base is Caterham Surrey but I teach in all the surrounding areas such as Redhill, Reigate, Warlingham, Whyteleafe, Oxted, Coulsdon, Purley, Croydon, Selsdon, Addington etc
I will also consider traveling further afield with an additional travel cost.
- When are you available?
I am available for lesson from Tuesday - Sunday.
I do not teach Friday or Saturday evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach children from the age of 5 upwards and adult learners.
I teach absolute beginners up to grade 8 classical piano.
Jazz piano up to grade 5.
Music theory up to grade 8.
I also will teach general piano, pop, rock, latin and music theory without any certificate course.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare my students to take the ABRSM qualifications in piano and theory.

As an adult wanting to learn the piano with no former experience i had no idea where to start, I found David on the internet and i started online lessons. David patiently taught me step by step and calmly guided me through the basic keyboard skills required for Grade 1.
