About Marissa
I have been dancing since age 3, and have been teaching dance for over 7 years. I have trained and competed in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary dance. I majored in Psychology with a minor in dance, and have danced professionally with several companies.

I use a combination of styles and techniques that I've learned from my previous dance teachers. I have also learned a lot through trial and error of what has and hasn't worked with my own students. I have many drills and activities that I do with my students for mastering a wide variety of skills. I believe in building relationships, and that students have to feel safe and cared for before they can truly grow.
