About Maxine
I currently serve as a dance teaching artist at Alonzo King LINES Ballet and RoCo Dance & Studios. I hold B.F.A. in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and an M.A. in Dance Philosophy from University of Roehampton, where I trained in ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation, and choreography.

I teach contemporary forms, ballet, improvisation, and choreography to youth K-12 and adults interested in exploring how movement connects with language, nature, sensation, and our daily lives. Students will have the opportunity to learn choreography for a film project that explores the intersections of poetry and creative process.

Maxine is an amazing dancer, and a dedicated and passionate teacher. I am new to dance, and learning from her at first seemed a little like asking Usain Bolt to teach a toddler how to run.
