About Deborah
Hello! My name is Debbie and I'm currently entering Year 13 of Sixth Form. I currently study A-Level English Literature, Psychology and Sociology. My desire to tutor comes from wanting to see people who once hated English achieve something they never saw coming. Tutoring would also be a great way to spread my passion for English and help people see both the importance and enjoyability of it!

Whilst teaching, the focus will be less on what your pre-existing knowledge is of certain set texts. Instead, the focus will be on the application of this knowledge. Within my lessons, I would offer top tip advice on how to achieve the top marks and grades within both GCSE English Literature and English Language exams and how to tackle difficult, unexpected questions the student may encounter in the exam. A standard lesson would offer brief revision of the student's prior knowledge, an overview of what the student must know in order to achieve top marks, and going through potential exam questions in a step by step method. I would also give clear essay feedback and a known essay structure in order to achieve.
