About Andie
Hi I'm Andie, a London-based non-binary poet and performer, and I am currently completing their Creative Writing MA. I run ARTPoets Press, have worked as a Workshop and Volunteer Coordinator for Kirkby Lonsdale Poetry Festival, and have been published in Roey Writes On:, the UniSlam 2021 Anthology, Morii Zine, Fincham Press, and Amethyst Review. I have also run workshops at Roehampton, Greenwich, and Worcester University, and have coached Roehampton and Uni of Bath at UniSlam events between 2020-2024. Throughout all this work, I have developed my own style of writing, performance and creativity, and have learnt how to guide others through to their own voice and style.

With an individual focus approach, in our first session we'll discuss influence and direction, and by our final hour-long session we'll have crafted a clear piece of work and the skills you need to take forward into creating future pieces. I have an MA in Creative Writing and have learnt from Leone Ross, Dr Tim Atkins, and Isabel Waidner, among others. Over the past 5 years I have run creative workshops for a range of ages and group sizes, some in person and some online - including at Kirkby Lonsdale Poetry Festival. My style derives from those who have taught me, and from the New York Poets, who in turn learnt from Gertrude Stein.
