About Leif
With 10 years of teaching and work experience, I have helped school and college students build strong trumpet skills while developing confidence and discipline. My passion for education encourages me to create lessons that are enjoyable, interactive, and focused on each student's success.
My teaching includes breathing exercises, posture correction, embouchure development, articulation, tone production, rhythm, scales, music reading, ear training, music theory, and performance coaching. I believe students learn best when lessons are practical, well-organised, and adapted to their individual learning pace.
One of the highlights of my teaching career has been helping students perform successfully in concerts, competitions, and school events. Their achievements continue to inspire my dedication to teaching.
I create a positive classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new techniques, and improving through regular practice. My focus is always on steady progress and building confidence.
Teaching allows me to share my passion for music while helping students develop responsibility, patience, creativity, and lifelong learning habits. I am committed to supporting every learner on their musical journey.

I follow a student-centred teaching approach for Trumpet that combines technique, creativity, and practical musical knowledge. My methodology is based on Communication, Adaptation to Learning Styles, and Real-life examples and case studies to provide a complete learning experience.
I understand that each student has different strengths and challenges, so I adjust my teaching methods according to their skill level, whether they are beginners, intermediate learners, or advanced players. During lessons, I focus on important trumpet skills such as breathing control, proper posture, finger techniques, articulation, scales, music reading, and performance preparation.
I also teach related areas including Music Theory, Melody Development, Ear Training, Ensemble Playing, and Improvisation to improve overall musicianship. By sharing examples from real performances and successful trumpet players, I help students understand how practice techniques lead to improvement.
My aim is to create an encouraging environment where students can develop discipline, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
