About Lauren
I earned my Master’s degree in Music Performance with concentration in keyboard instruction and beginner music education.
I have over 7 years of experience teaching piano and keyboard online. Before independent tutoring, I worked at North Valley Community Music School, Colorado, where I taught beginner piano classes and helped younger students prepare for recitals and introductory performances.
I later worked with Harmony Keys Academy, California, providing one-to-one support for students struggling with confidence and rhythm development.
My students often joined lessons feeling unsure and later became comfortable performing in school events and recitals.
I received a Community Music Teaching Excellence Award for designing beginner-friendly piano instruction methods.
Teaching beginners remains one of my favorite things because watching confidence grow over time is incredibly rewarding.

I teach piano lessons for beginners of all ages who want supportive, patient instruction while developing musical skills gradually.
Students learn piano, keyboard, and synthesizer while improving rhythm understanding, finger coordination, hand independence, chord progressions, melody playing, sight reading, improvisation, and beginner composition.
I use familiar songs, interactive exercises, and personalized activities to make learning enjoyable rather than stressful.
Lessons can support school music activities, church performances, creative hobbies, or long-term musical goals.
I believe beginners should feel proud of progress rather than pressured toward perfection.
