About Orlan

▸ WHY CHOOSE ME OVER A TYPICAL VIDEO EDITING TEACHER?

You’re not just learning how to use editing software. You’re learning how to create videos that people actually want to watch.

★ 12+ years of professional video editing experience
★ 250+ students coached since 2015
★ Professional experience in cinema, YouTube, music videos, events, corporate content and weddings
★ 5-star ratings across multiple platforms
★ Lessons adapted 100% to your level, goals and projects

Most courses teach you the software first and leave you to figure out the creative side on your own.

My approach is different.

▸ YOU LEARN BY EDITING YOUR OWN VIDEOS

Instead of spending hours following generic tutorials, we work directly on YOUR projects.

I’ll show you not only where to click, but WHY a professional editor makes certain choices:

✓ How to tell a story and create emotion
✓ How to choose the right shots and build a strong rhythm
✓ How to make your videos look and feel professional
✓ How to choose music, sound effects, graphics and transitions
✓ How to structure content for YouTube and social media
✓ How to develop your own editing style

And if you have an idea but don’t know how to turn it into a video, I can help you from the very beginning — from the concept and structure to the final export.

▸ MORE THAN JUST AN EDITING TEACHER

My goal is to make you independent.

Whether you want to create personal films, YouTube videos, social media content, professional videos, travel memories or simply become better at editing, I’ll give you the techniques and creative thinking I’ve developed throughout my professional career.

You don’t need to become a professional editor.

But after working together, you should be able to look at your footage and think:

“I know exactly what to do with this.”

▸ BRING YOUR PROJECT. I’LL BRING THE EXPERIENCE.

Let’s turn your footage into something you’re proud to share.

▸ HOW DOES A LESSON WORK?

Forget generic tutorials where you watch someone edit a video without really understanding what they’re doing.

My lessons are designed around YOU, your goals and your own videos.

Each session is practical, interactive and adapted to your level whether you’re a complete beginner or already comfortable with editing.

I also help creators learn how to film and edit UGC (User-Generated Content) videos for brands, from shooting with a smartphone to creating engaging, professional-looking content for TikTok, Instagram and other social platforms.

▸ 1. WE START WITH YOUR GOAL

At the beginning of the lesson, we quickly identify what you want to achieve.

Do you want to edit a YouTube video? A travel film? A wedding? A short film? Social media content? A personal project?

I’ll adapt the lesson to your specific needs.

▸ 2. WE WORK DIRECTLY ON YOUR PROJECT

You bring your own footage, and we edit it together.

I’ll guide you step by step while explaining not only HOW to do something, but also WHY a professional editor would make that choice.

▸ 3. YOU LEARN PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUES

During the editing process, I’ll teach you the techniques I use in my professional work:

✓ Organizing and selecting your footage
✓ Building a story and creating a strong structure
✓ Cutting and creating rhythm
✓ Making better transitions
✓ Working with music and sound
✓ Creating professional titles and subtitles
✓ Using effects without overdoing them
✓ Improving the visual style of your videos
✓ Color correction and basic color grading
✓ Exporting videos correctly for different platforms

▸ 4. YOU TAKE CONTROL

I don’t want you to simply watch me edit.

You’ll do the work yourself while I guide you, correct you and give you practical advice.

The goal is that you gradually become independent and confident behind your editing software.

▸ 5. WE REVIEW AND IMPROVE

At the end of the session, we’ll review what you’ve created together.

I’ll point out what can be improved and give you practical techniques you can immediately reuse in your next videos.

▸ 6. EACH LESSON BUILDS ON THE PREVIOUS ONE

If you’re taking several lessons, we’ll progressively build your skills.

You can start with the basics and eventually learn storytelling, advanced editing, sound design, visual effects, thumbnails, YouTube strategy and much more.

There is no fixed program that forces everyone to learn the same things.

Your project determines what we learn next.

▸ THE RESULT?

You don’t just finish a lesson having learned a few new buttons.

You finish with real progress on your own video, new skills you can reuse, and a better understanding of what makes a video engaging and professional.

Bring your footage. Bring your ideas. I’ll help you turn them into videos you’re proud of.
