About Joshua

Hi, I’m Joshua, a music producer and educator with over three years of experience teaching music production to students ranging from beginners to fellow producers and sound engineers. I specialise in using FL Studio as my primary DAW, with additional expertise in Audacity and Ableton Live. My work spans creating original music tracks, composing film scores, and producing voiceover recordings in home studio environments. With a deep passion for exploring the qualities of genre and pushing creative boundaries, I guide students in blending live recordings of instruments and vocals with MIDI orchestrations to produce professional-quality music. My practical experience in recording and producing has allowed me to share valuable insights and techniques that help my students achieve their unique musical goals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your production skills, I’m here to help you unlock your potential and bring your creative vision to life.

About the lesson

My music production lessons empower you to explore your creativity while mastering essential tools and techniques. Using FL Studio as my primary DAW—alongside experience with Audacity and Ableton Live—I’ll guide you through the full production process, from composing and arranging to recording, mixing, and mastering. Together, we’ll dive into the qualities of different genres, redefine what they mean, and experiment with blending styles to create something truly unique. I’ll also teach you the practicalities of recording live instruments and vocals, helping you capture authentic performances in your home studio. Additionally, we’ll explore the power of MIDI instruments to orchestrate and produce new music, giving you the flexibility to bring your ideas to life. Whether you’re crafting beats, designing cinematic soundscapes, or working on voiceover recordings, my lessons are tailored to your goals and provide the technical and creative skills needed to produce professional-quality music.
