About Sophie
I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Hospitality Administration and minors in Real Estate and Spanish, where I also worked as a Teaching Assistant supporting students in analytical coursework. During my time at Cornell, I completed internships focused on real estate and finance, gaining hands-on experience that strengthened my analytical thinking and ability to apply concepts in real-world settings.
I was also selected as a team lead in a mentorship program, where I guided and supported students in both their academic and professional development. That experience reinforced my ability to communicate clearly, lead with patience, and adapt to different personalities and learning styles.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, think independently, and feel in control of what they are learning. I take pride in being approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress.

My lessons are structured, personalized, and results-driven. I take the time to understand each student’s learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement, then build a clear and thoughtful plan to help them progress with confidence. I break down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations, making material feel approachable rather than overwhelming.
I also focus on building strong problem-solving skills so students learn how to think independently instead of just memorizing steps. Creating a supportive and comfortable environment is very important to me, as it encourages students to ask questions, stay engaged, and develop confidence in their abilities. My goal is not only to improve performance, but to help students feel capable, motivated, and in control of their learning.
