About Cynthia
Sometimes the hardest part of learning Spanish is finding the courage to speak up when you are not quite sure of the verb endings. My sessions feel like a blend of analytical breakdown and casual conversation where we focus on listening practice and dialogue to build your confidence. We will walk through cultural context and interview preparation while maintaining a pace that suits absolute beginners or advanced learners alike.
I pull from my extensive background in linguistics to ensure you understand not just what to say, but why you are saying it that way. We engage in role play to simulate real world scenarios so that you feel prepared for any social encounter.
These sessions are built on the foundation of 15 years of teaching and a commitment to clarity. You will find that regular practice creates a rhythm that makes learning feel natural. My methods are grounded in the belief that active usage is the best teacher. You are in good hands.

Supporting students through the intricacies of language is why I have dedicated 15 years of experience to this field. Linguistics is simply the study of how we connect and I find that connection endlessly fascinating through my work as a native Spanish speaker from Macquarie. My background includes a MA Applied Linguistics and CELTA which ensures that I understand the technical side of grammar just as well as the cultural nuances.
Having worked with 234 students, including Year 11 and 12 learners, I have refined my ability to simplify complex verb conjugations and pronunciation hurdles. My approach remains deeply rooted in the settlement services perspective because I view language as the primary tool for navigating new social landscapes.
