About Stephen
I am a piano player/ artist who teaches from home. I have a degree in contemporary music with a double major in composition and piano.
I have been teaching in Primary and Secondary schools for about twenty years.
I aim to pass on the gift of music to the next generation of musicians.

I have experience teaching students in Primary and Secondary school settings.
I can tutor one-on-one or in groups of up to 12 (age 8+).
Lessons are usually half an hour for beginners, up to an hour for capable/ advanced students.
Guitar and Uke students take part in a performance based setting- Students learn hands-on theory and have lyric sheets with chords, learning some easy to intermediate contemporary songs. Songs are performed with the tutor and the aim is to build confidence with their voice and instrument simultaneously.
Jazz, classical or contemporary piano piano can be taught to an advanced level.
Theory of music is taught alongside practical exercises.
A live piano, drums, guitar(s) microphone(s), amplifier etc. can be provided at the studio 27km east of Gore
