About Nathan
Hi. I have been a senior manager and consultant in the hospitality and retail sector for over 25 years.
I want to teach to pass on my experience to new managers.
In my experience I’ve observed there is little in the way of supportive practical coaching for first time managers, leading to lots of trial and inevitable error which puts people off a long term management career.
We are taught the business side of things, but very little about the ‘people’ side.
This is where I think there’s a genuine need so would like to empower first time managers to be the best version of themselves.

My approach to tutoring is to provide useful support for first-time managers so they can assemble a useful ‘tool kit’ of skills and techniques which will help them gain confidence in their own leadership style.
Having had nearly 30 years as a manager in the hospitality and retail sector, I have gained a wealth of experience when it comes to working with large diverse teams and also with multiple stakeholders.I recognise that the ‘people’ side of the business has never had sufficient training or support for those starting out, so I feel I can teach new managers some useful skills.
As well as referencing my own experience, we will have structured tuition based on pre prescribed award winning texts on management and people management to give you a solid foundation for your own management style.
