About Ziva
I am an experienced violin tutor with 5 years of teaching and professional music experience, passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
I teach violin to school and college students at all levels, from beginners learning the basics to advanced performers preparing for recitals, exams, and competitions.
One of the highlights of my career has been guiding students from uncertainty or hesitation to confident performers who play with skill, expression, and emotional connection.
My teaching emphasises technical mastery, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also nurturing musical expression, creativity, and interpretation. I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to ensure students develop a well-rounded understanding of music.
I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals, creating a supportive, patient, and motivating environment. Teaching violin allows me to inspire students, cultivate confidence, and foster a lifelong love for music and learning.

I teach violin with a methodology focused on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to develop skilled, expressive, and confident musicians.
Lessons are customised to suit each student’s goals, learning style, and interests, creating a dynamic learning experience that balances technique, artistry, and creative exploration.
Motivation is central. I help students define achievable goals, track their progress, and celebrate accomplishments, cultivating self-confidence, persistence, and enthusiasm for learning. Communication ensures lessons are collaborative and supportive, allowing students to share questions, challenges, and creative ideas freely.
Creativity is emphasised through improvisation, interpretation, and composition exercises, helping students develop a unique artistic voice and emotional connection to music. Integrity guides students to practise responsibly, remain disciplined, and respect the learning process, forming habits that support long-term growth.
In addition to violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of music. My methodology ensures technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
