About Evan
My interest in computer programming began when I first discovered how simple lines of code could create useful digital tools and applications. I became fascinated by the idea that logical instructions could control complex computer systems and solve practical problems. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue advanced studies in computer science, eventually completing a PhD in Computer Science, where I studied programming languages, algorithms, and software design.
During my 9 years of teaching, I have helped many students learn the foundations of programming and develop confidence in writing their own code. My teaching approach focuses on clear explanation and practical exercises so learners can apply each concept immediately. I encourage students to experiment with programming ideas and gradually build their technical skills.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new programming technologies and working on small software projects. These activities help me stay connected with modern developments in the technology field. Teaching programming is fulfilling because I see students develop confidence in their ability to create digital solutions and understand the technology that shapes the modern world.

My computer programming lessons focus on helping students understand how logical instructions allow computers to perform tasks and solve problems. Many beginners find programming confusing because they see advanced code before learning the basic structure of programming languages. In my lessons we begin with fundamental concepts such as variables, conditions, loops, and simple program structure. I explain how these elements work together so students can see how a program is built step by step.
As learners become more comfortable with these basics, lessons gradually introduce functions, structured programming, and simple algorithms. Students practice writing small programs that perform useful tasks such as calculations, data organization, or simple applications. I also teach learners how to identify errors in their code and correct them carefully. Developing debugging skills is an important part of programming because it helps students understand how to improve their work independently.
My goal is to help students feel confident when learning programming and to develop logical thinking skills that extend beyond coding. Lessons focus on clear explanations, hands-on practice, and gradual skill development. Over time students begin to create their own programs and feel more comfortable exploring new programming tools and technologies.
