About Kendall

My journey into computer programming began with a simple curiosity about how software and systems worked behind the scenes. Over the last eleven years, that curiosity has evolved into deep knowledge and an enduring passion for teaching. I spent countless hours exploring different programming languages, building projects, and understanding how logic transforms into digital solutions. Teaching became my way of sharing that passion while guiding others through the same journey of discovery. I am a calm, patient, and deeply committed educator. I understand that for many students, programming can feel overwhelming at first. I take time to truly listen, identify where confusion lies, and gently guide them towards understanding. My approach is not rushed. I focus on clarity, practice, and emotional support, helping students trust themselves and their abilities. Each milestone, no matter how small, is celebrated. Outside the classroom, I continue to refine my skills by exploring emerging technologies, frameworks, and real-world applications of code. This continuous growth strengthens both my teaching and my connection to the modern tech world. Programming is a powerful language for change, and I feel honoured to pass that language on to students who will use it to shape the future.

About the lesson

Computer programming is more than just writing code on a screen; it is a powerful way of thinking that trains the mind to analyse, design, and bring ideas to life. In my lessons, I focus on helping students develop a clear and structured mindset, one that breaks complex problems into manageable steps. From the very beginning, I emphasise understanding rather than memorisation. Students are encouraged to ask questions, test boundaries, and learn through experimentation. I create a space where curiosity is valued and mistakes are treated as opportunities for growth. This approach removes fear and builds confidence, allowing learners to explore programming with excitement instead of pressure. Beginners are guided through core concepts such as variables, data types, conditions, and loops, while also practising logical sequencing and debugging. Intermediate students strengthen their skills through functions, data structures, and object-oriented programming. Advanced learners take on full-scale projects, software design principles, algorithms, and performance optimisation. I also support students with school projects, coding competitions, technical interviews, and career-focused preparation in programming-related fields. As progress develops, students begin to see themselves as creators instead of users of technology. Their confidence grows with every programme they write and every challenge they overcome. Beyond technical skills, they gain resilience, discipline, and creative thinking that serves them in all aspects of life. My mission is to help each student unlock their potential in the digital world and understand that their ideas are powerful when given the right tools.
