About Lindsey

Outside of my professional experience as an instructor, I have over 10 years of personal Pilates movement practice. I utilize Pilates in my daily life, regularly. I came to the practice by way of a medical necessity, and I enjoyed the movement so much that it has stuck with me for over a decade. Pilates has made even my most enjoyable daily task, walking my rotund pug, even that much better. When I am not doing Pilates or teaching Pilates, I am reading a good book or laying by the pool. I love to relax just as much as I love spending time with my clients.

About the lesson

Hi!
I am a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor (this means I have experience and education on ALL apparatus, not just reformer), and I am eager to meet new clients. I have experience teaching nearly all body types, at all stages of life. I work with brand new movers to professional athletes, and I am particularly excited about teaching curious students.
Sessions with me are collaborative. I don't like to just teach exercises; I like to learn how you are living in your body on a day-to-day basis, and tailor our work to making your daily movements more effortless. Of course, your fitness goals are always our primary workload, but Pilates can offer so much more. I love to make every session a true learning experience, and increase intensity based on what individual clients crave. I have experience working within the classical system and within the contemporary realm, and I feel confident working on all brands of apparatus. My primary experience is on Merrithew, Peak, Gratz, and Balanced Body equipment, but I am happy to adapt to whatever your home studio uses.
